Meet Mara

Mara Johnson is a dedicated vocal coach and the founder of Resonate Studios. With a passion for nurturing talent and a commitment to excellence, Mara is on a mission to make a significant impact in the world of vocal training.

Mara received her formal education in vocal music from McDaniel Music Studios, studying under respected instructors like Crystal McDaniel and Tony Award-winning baritone Eugene Brancoveanu. She also served as a lead practice coach at McDaniel Music Studios for several years, gaining invaluable experience. Her training in the Bel Canto style has provided her with a solid foundation in classical vocal techniques.

With over eight years of teaching experience, Mara has helped numerous students achieve their vocal potential across various genres, including opera, musical theater, and contemporary music. An award-winning songwriter and talented performer, Mara is currently the lead singer for Mara Johnson and the Carolina Tumbleweed Band.

Resonate Studios is built on a holistic approach to vocal training, emphasizing breath control, resonance, and emotional connection to music. Mara's unique methods, blending traditional techniques with modern insights, have proven highly effective in helping students develop their voices.
